Introduction to artificial particleboard

Introduction to artificial particleboard

Artificial particleboard is a board made of wood or non-wood plant fiber through a series of processes such as chipping, shavings preparation, drying, gluing, paving, and hot pressing. It is a typical artificial board. Through the recombination and processing of raw materials, it not only effectively utilizes wood resources, but also meets the diverse needs of different fields for board performance and specifications.

    description1

    Classification

    Ordinary particleboard

It uses wood shavings as the main raw material, after drying and screening, urea-formaldehyde resin or other adhesives are applied, and pressed under a certain temperature and pressure. Ordinary particleboard has a low cost and a flat surface. It is often used as a base board for furniture manufacturing and interior decoration, such as the internal partitions of wardrobes and shoe cabinets.

    Oriented Strand Board (OSB)

Also known as European Pine Board, its raw materials are processed into long flakes (generally 40-100 mm long, 5-20 mm wide, 0.3-0.7 mm thick) by special equipment. After drying, gluing and special equipment, the surface and core flakes are crisscrossed and oriented and laid, and then hot-pressed. This unique structure gives it good mechanical properties and dimensional stability.

    Veneered particleboard

On the basis of ordinary particleboard, through the veneer process, decorative materials such as melamine impregnated paper, wood grain paper, PVC film, etc. are attached to the surface of the board, giving the particleboard rich colors and textures and enhancing its decorativeness. Veneered particleboard is widely used in furniture surfaces, indoor wall decoration, etc., without the need for surface paint treatment, and the construction is convenient and environmentally friendly.

    Moisture-proof particleboard

Add moisture-proof agent or use special adhesives during the production process to make the board have certain moisture-proof properties. Moisture-proof particleboard is suitable for environments with high humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms, and can be used as a material for cabinets and bathroom cabinets.

    Features

    advantage-1-1
    High resource utilization rate
wood processing residues, small-diameter wood, fast-growing wood, etc., and even non-wood plant fibers (such as straw, bagasse, etc.) can be used as raw materials, which effectively improves resource utilization and alleviates the problem of tight wood resources.
    advantage-2
    advantage-1-1
    Good processing performance
particleboard has a uniform structure and moderate density, and is easy to perform mechanical processing such as sawing, drilling, sanding, and carving. It can also be surface decorated through veneer, coating and other processes to meet different design requirements.
    advantage-2
    advantage-1-1
    Relatively low price
Compared with natural wood, particleboard has a lower production cost. On the premise of ensuring certain performance, it provides consumers with a more economical and affordable board option, and is widely used in low-end furniture manufacturing and decoration projects.
    advantage-2
    advantage-1-1
    Good dimensional stability
Through hot pressing process molding, the internal stress distribution of particleboard is uniform, and it is not easy to have deformation and cracking caused by shrinkage and swelling of natural wood. It can maintain a stable size and shape, which is easy to process and install.
    advantage-2

    Advantages of artificial particleboard

    Obvious cost advantage

The production cost of ordinary particleboard and veneer particleboard is low, especially the particleboard made of non-wood plant fiber, which is more affordable and suitable for large-scale production and cost-sensitive decoration projects, such as rental house decoration, ordinary office furniture manufacturing, etc.

    Wide range of applications

With good processing performance and diversified finishing treatment methods, artificial particleboard can be used in furniture manufacturing, interior decoration, packaging materials and other fields. From simple storage cabinets to complex integrated cabinets, from wall decoration to ceiling base, particleboard can be seen.
